Daughter of two famous Mumbai-based surgeons, the young talented singer Avanti Patel brings a rare finesse and intelligence into her renditions. Trained by stalwarts such as Smt. Varsha Bhave and Smt. Archana Kanhere, Avanti is a Sangeet Visharad and currently pursuing M.A. in Music.

Avanti's talent first came to fore through Zee Saregamapa Li'l Champs, where she samg over 40 songs in front of some of the biggest Indian artistes and stood 7th amongst all participants. She has performed for several stage shows with Avdhoot Gupe, Shankar Mahadevan and is currently the female vocal lead in an Urdu Sher Shayri and Ghazal show called Sukhan. She has also recorded songs for private albums such as Shwas Mazha mokala, Aathva Swar and Allad (her debut solo album). She made hery playback debut with the song Achko Machko for a Gujarati film, HuTuTuTu. 

She has been teaching Hindustani classical music to children through the organization Kalangan for the past 6 years.

This particular video is from independent project, Mogra Miscellaneous which is a 4 part music video series, tracing her journey as an artist. The release of this project is going to be via YouTube and Facebook over the next couple of months.
