Jeet Ganguli

 

Music director Jeet Ganguli had so far done little of note after separating from his erstwhile music- partner Pritam. But in Morning Walk he comes into his own in style. The soundtrack is undoubtedly one of the best of the year but looking at this film's offbeat low budget stature, it is doubtful whether this music would make a big impact!

The album begins with Bhor Bhayo – an enticing song celebrating a beautiful dawn. Fusing Indian classical rendition with western choral and orchestral arrangements, Jeet makes it a song to remember and of course, Ustad Rashid Khan and Shreya Ghoshal sing it superbly! Next comes- Manwaa (Rashid Khan, Dibbendu Mukherjee), a song musing about vagaries of mind, which beautifully fuses soothing Indian classical style with stirring Latino sounds. Shreya's Dolnaa is a heartrending emotional number.

The fluffy side is tended to by Shreya – Shaan's sweet romantic duet – Meethi Meethi Baatein, Shaan's rock-styled Aasmaan Chhoona Nahin and Shaan- Nargis – Joi's foot-tapping club-dance number Nach Le.
