Santhokh Singh has composed a few good romantic tracks in Lottery but they are most likely to go unnoticed thanks to the film sinking badly at the box-office. Definitely the main attraction of this album is Abhijeet Sawant. From a middle class simpleton to the first Indian Idol and now making his debut as a singing hero in Bollywood- certainly the lad has had a dream run over last few years!
Sawant’s singing shows growing maturity and assuredness while belting two romantic ballads- Dhadkanein and Kab Chaand Bankar, where he brings in just the right touch of mushy sentimentality. The latter song comes back twice- once as Sunidhi Chouhan’s female version and then as a short sad version Pata Hi Na Chala in Sawant’s voice. Sunidhi’s Kamariya is a typically feisty, frothy item-song with raunchy lyrics and a UP- Bihar folk-style.
Sanjay Pathak composes the title-song Lottery and Sukhvinder Singh makes it click with his robust, upbeat voice.
