Shankar- Ehsan-Loy
For a movie that is supposed to be a sci-fi horror flick, 13 B features surprisingly soothing and melodious music. Shankar- Ehsan- Loy have composed some nice songs that linger in memory for quite some time.
Shankar Mahadevan and Chitra give the album a perfect start with Aasman Odh Kar- a lovely romantic melody with a subtle Carnatic classical lilt. Karthik takes over the baton from them and renders another soft sentimental song- Bade Se Sheher Mein. Then, Shankar Mahadevan chips in with a chirpy upbeat solo- Sab Khairiyat Hai Yahan, meaning ‘Everything is fine over here’! As usual S-E-L’s imaginative use of synthesizer and backup vocals impresses.
Baba Sehgal and Loy then join hands with Anushka Manchanda to render a raunchy item-song Teerchhi Nazar Se. Despite having a thumping beat and a catchy hook-line, the song is likely to draw grimaces thanks to its overtly explicit lyrics like O Sexy Mama Let’s Do The Saregama!
The rest of the album is filled up with the remixed versions of these songs and instrumental theme music.
