Based on Chetan Bhagat’s successful novel – ‘One night@ call centre’, Hello tells a story of a motley group of characters working at a call centre. They are all losers. They work at night, answering stupid queries from US customers posing as US-based telephonic support staff. Their boss is crooked and corrupt. Their personal lives are in disarray. They are chasing impossible dreams. They are making all sorts of compromises to get ahead in lives but still they are failing in their missions miserably! It will take a surprise call – from God- to make them realize their follies and get their lost lives back on track!
Hello starts off okay and has its moments of fun and banter but an unconvincing plot (Is the novel really good?), unimaginative direction and unimpressive performances all gang up to make it a mediocre fare. Salman and Katrina play cameos to lend some star appeal.
