De De Pyar De
Year: 2019
Director: Akiv Ali
Cast: Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, Tabu
Luv Ranjan has mastered the art (and commerce!) of making some cheeky modern romantic comedies. His successful Pyar Ka Panchnama- franchise and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety are resounding proofs of that. Here he writes and produces yet another film in the similar genre but lets Akiv Ali (an accomplished editor) direct it. So how does the new film turn out to be?
What’s the plot?
A fifty- year-old man (Ajay Devgn) falls in love with a twenty-something girl (Rakul Preet Singh). The May- September romance gets complicated when the man decides to introduce his girlfriend to his separated wife (Tabu) and much grown-up kids! Will it survive this trial by fire?

Verdict
De De Pyar De is mostly a fun-watch about the complexities of modern-day relationships and features some fine performances. When it tries to be serious and contemplative, it stutters a bit but finally recovers well to leave you smiling!
