What’s the plot?
A crime-drama set in Mumbai’s Bhindi Bazaar area, featuring a gang-war between two rival pickpocket gangs and an interwoven story of two childhood friends trying to become dons of their underworld trade.
What’s hot?
Pacy narrative, realistic portrayals, stylish direction, lots of twists and turns.
What’s not?
Tepid performances, overall predictability of the plot.
Verdict:
Raw racy crime sagas are increasingly becoming common in Bollywood. As yet another addition to this ballooning genre, Bhindi Bazaar Inc. makes an interesting watch but does not bring anything new to the table and hence fails to leave a lasting impact. Lack of powerhouse performances hurts the film in achieving more.
